A Big Problem People have with Niche Marketing

I’m going to say it right away. They go after niches that are too small or that may be big, but there really aren’t good ways to monetize the niche. You can have all the people in the world searching for it, but if they are just interested in free information, good luck!

I get people that get all excited and tell me that they have found this wonderful niche and they don’t have competition and they have already created this product and wrote their sales page. They have started their Adwords campaign and are so excited because they’re only paying $0.10 a click!

That is very low. The problem is that it is so cheap and there is no competition for a reason. No one is buying anything in that niche that they’re searching for.

They are searching for free information. Some of them may have never seen a sales page advertised in that niche in their life. What the heck is that? I’m just looking for free information, why should I pay for the information?

It may be wonderful information, it may be a lot better information than they can find for free. That isn’t the point. The point is that they’re use to searching in this niche for FREE information and have no interest in paying for anything in this niche.

Another big problem that people have is that they may be able to market one or two products to the niche, but they can never really build on that and have to go to the next niche. They can’t stay in that niche long-term and that is certainly worrisome and a lot of work.

You have to have a niche where people are looking to buy products. If you don’t have that, you don’t have a niche market that is going to really produce for you.

If you don’t have people who are hungry buyers, it is really difficult, if not impossible. If you don’t have it now, you probably won’t have it in the future, unless it is a seasonal thing.

Personally, I don’t like dealing with the whole seasonal thing. You have to keep changing so many things and it just gets to be too much work. I would rather be able to focus on improving my existing marketing, rather than having to change it up constantly.
