Bonus Products - Yay or Nay?
One thing to learn, is if adding bonus products as add-on benefits your main product, that boosts your conversions or if in fact hurts your sales.
I have heard many customers tell me that while they were in two minds whether to buy my product, it was my bonus offer which triggered their final purchase decision. There are many friends I have who have also corroborated by findings: it is the bonus offer which drives most people to try out the product for the first time.
The first thing to remember while offering bonus products is that it is quality that matters and not quantity. There are people who give a hundred products with the aim of selling one product. There are a couple of dangers in this.
You can of course find a hundred bonuses to promote a single product - finding trash and obsolete products is no problem.
But the real problem is that when you flood your customer with crap bonus products, it is natural for any customer to doubt the quality of your main product.
Ideally the bonus offer should complement your main product. With the bonus offer, the entire deal should seem attractive to the customer.
While there could be many bases which ought to be covered about a product, a good bonus offer can cover all of them conveniently and easily.
This brings us to the question, what is the right quantity of bonus to be offered?
Personally I like to go with 1-3 bonus RELATED products. It not only keeps my customer attracted to my main product but also conveys my good intentions of satisfying as much as I can in terms of value.
The next obvious question could be, where do I find bonuses?
You have a few options produce the bonus yourself, writing some reports or you could outsource the work to a freelance writer. The third option is to find bonus products is to look at related PLR products. You could easily modify them to your taste and give away as free bonus offers. There are plenty of places where you could find PLR products.
There are two reasons for me to choose PLR products. Firstly you can find some good quality that isn’t over used, and secondly I can always add or alter bits of it to suit my liking and make them my own.
