The First Thing That You Should Have as an Affiliate

The first thing that you need to have is a website or a blog. Very simple and easy, but too many people don’t do this. Here are the main reasons that you NEED to do this.

The first is that you can get a bunch of FREE traffic to your website or blog. You can do link exchanges,  search engine optimization etc for your website. If you have a blog, you can simply blog and ping and target keywords etc.

One of the big reasons why people who have a website or a blog are successful as affiliates is because they can give before they get. This is a very important thing.

People are skeptical by nature, they are really skeptical when it comes to buying things from people who they don’t know online. If you have that website or blog, you can build up a relationship with your readers.

I can’t overstate the importance of that. If you have their trust, they will listen to your suggestions. You obviously have to be true and live up to your end of the bargain, but it all comes down to building those lasting relationships.

If you build up a group of people that either bookmark your website or subscribe to your blog, you’re building up a network of potential buyers. You’re building a list outside of your mailing list. These are the people that randomly stop by your website or blog to see if anything is new, this is more opportunity for you to make money.

You should always have an incentive for people to join your mailing list. That’s one of the ultimate tools for an affiliate to use. It’s a numbers game, but it’s also about what your relationship is with those numbers. You can have a million people, but if none of them trust you or are targeted, it doesn’t really matter.

In the end, it comes down to relationships. You have to have a great relationship with your visitors. It also comes down to having good relationships with other similar site owners and being able to work with them. That can be link exchange, a traffic joint venture or any number of other joint venture work that you can do with them.
