The Importance of Online Reputation
When you are doing business online, your reputation is critically important. You need to be known as an honest, hardworking and sincere person.
Personally speaking I would like to be known as a person who has all those qualities so that I can demand respect from anyone who meets me.
You might hold the opinion that since you are doing business on the internet, the people who you deal with can not see you so it really does not mater what they think of you. But in reality, your reputation is all that you have while doing business online, if you want to make good sustainable income on the internet.
To start with, people who buy from you have to trust you. They are putting their blind trust in you that you will give them their money’s worth.
Your buyers even trust you with after-sales-service. They may have numerous questions for which they expect an honest answer from you.
In fact, having a good reputation in the market would make the task of marketing your products much easier for you. Your customers are looking forward to receiving quality products, once they entrust you with their money.
Remember, a satisfied customer brings in many additional customers. Through word of mouth publicity, your business grows and people will judge you by your reputation as someone who always delivers quality products.
Another a good reputation does is that it draws more and more people towards you. This means that people who are selling your products would like to do business with you. Honesty has no alternative in the market place.
Starting from approaching you for joint venture, you will draw more and more business minded people towards you and your business.
Finding a good joint venture partner or people who will gladly promote your products are easier when you have a good reputation to fall back on.
When you are known as an honest business person, people want to interview you and you get a lot of free publicity that way. People will ultimately put the interview with you on their website or put it up in a newsletter and add the package to their mailing list. This is how your business grows.
Not only do you become an expert in your field but a leader of sorts in your chosen field as people treat you as someone who they can look up to. You make more meaningful friends in the business community who gladly extend their assistance with new ideas, etc. You are therefore building your own team who will promote your business, like you could never imagine.
What are these people getting in return? They are getting your help and guidance or some kind of favors from you. You have created an environment of trust, faith and bond which will ultimately do you and your business good.
